Donald Trump, Jr. on Sunday asserted that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein can't be a real Republican because he is not a "fan" of Donald Trump.
During an interview on Fox News host Howard Kurtz, Trump Jr. complained that reporters are looking for a "loophole" in Attorney General William Barr's exoneration of President Trump on the matter of obstruction of justice. Barr is said to have worked with Rosenstein to determine that Trump would not be charged.
"Let's not kid ourselves, not exactly a Trump fan," Trump Jr. said of Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein.
"He's a Republican who was appointed by the president," Kurtz noted.
"I don't think anyone actually believes that, okay?" Trump Jr. replied.
Unfortunately for the lesser Trump, most people don't believe that his daddy was exonerated, despite the work of Barr and Rosenstein, maybe because they have a stronger grasp of facts than he does.
Being a Trumper means never dealing with the cognitive dissonance of being a blatant hypocrite and trusting that no one in the media will ever call you on it.
Case in point: Trump Senior Adviser Kellyanne Conway.
Conway was eager to gloat and condemn former Vice President Joe Biden, just days before his presumed announcement that he's running for the Democratic nomination for president. Biden was hit this week with allegations by former Nevada Democratic Assemblywoman Lucy Flores with being inappropriately physical with her at a campaign rally five years ago. Biden, for his part, acknowledges that he may have been demonstrative (He's a hugger!) but denies that it was ever his intent to be inappropriate with Flores.
Short sidebar to men who want to be better: Your "intent" is not more important than how it was received by the person saying that they were uncomfortable. You do not have a right to be physical with any person without their consent, no matter the intent. Just ask for permission.
As we've already discussed here, William Barr did some "impressive gymnastics to avoid arresting Trump," and our completely irresponsible media immediately began parroting Trump administration talking points that the yet to be released Mueller report somehow "exonerates" Trump, making sure the damage is already done by the time anyone finally gets to see what's actually in it.
While discussing some of the initial reporting on this Sunday's AM Joy on MSNBC, ShareBlue's Eric Boehlert gave our corporate media and DC press a much needed scolding for just blindly taking the word of these known liars and helping them cover up what's actually in the report:
BOEHLERT: Yeah, I mean, the only really accurate headline would have been Trump's Attorney General claims Mueller report clears the president. I didn't really see that headline anywhere.

Acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney on Sunday promised that no one would lose health care insurance if the Trump administration is successful in striking down the Affordable Care Act in federal court.
"There are 8.5 million people enrolled in Obamacare in 2019," ABC host Jonathan Karl told Mulvaney during an interview on Sunday. "You also have another 61 million who have preexisting conditions and have been able to get health insurance in part because of the guarantee that they can get heath coverage under Obamacare. And also about 6 million Americans who are 26 and younger are on their parents health plans because of Obamacare."
"Can you guarantee that if you succeed in court that all of those tens of millions of people who have health coverage guaranteed because of Obamacare will not lose their coverage?" Karl asked.
"Yes," Mulvaney replied. "Every single plan that this White House has put forward since Donald Trump has been elected has coverage of preexisting conditions. Every plan that Republicans in the House voted on in the previous Congress covered preexisting conditions."
Fox News Sunday's Chris Wallace fact-checked Rush Limbaugh and Fox News' Bill Hemmer's bogus and oft-repeated claims that it was only the Steele dossier that triggered the Russia investigations into Trump and his campaign.
That is false.
Fox News' Bret Baier soiled his Special Report program's reputation by hosting Trump surrogate Rush Limbaugh for two full segments on his supposedly "straight" news program right after William Barr issued his whitewash of a summary to the Mueller report.
Baier introduced Rush to give their viewers an unfiltered analysis of Russiagate and the 2020 election and it didn't take long for Limbaugh to lie.
Limbaugh angrily said, "They began an investigation based on a phony dossier that was created and written by associates of Hillary Clinton. It was opposition research. This is outrageous what has happened here. There needs to be an investigation into this. There needs to be accountability for everybody who participated in this -- including most of the mainstream media.”
If holding the media accountable for promoting false information was the case, Limbaugh would be serving seven life sentences in prison doing hard labor with just bread and water to sustain him.
Chris Wallace joined Bill Hemmer on America's Newsroom on Friday to discuss the week's unfolding events as a set-up to promote his Sunday talk show.
On this Saturday's The Van Jones Show, Derek Black, a former white nationalist and son of Stormfront founder Don Black did a lengthy interview with with Jones discussing the dangers and rise of white nationalism and the fact that many in the movement now feel bolstered by the likes of Trump and many of the evening anchors on Fox "News."
As Damir Mujezinovic at the Inquisitr explained, Black now spends his time warning and advocating against the movement he was once a part of:
Former “rising star of white nationalism,” Derek Black, broke out of the violent and racist ideology in 2013, according to NPR. He has since publicly denounced white nationalism and virtually all beliefs instilled into him by his father, prominent white supremacist, Stormfront (popular white nationalist website and forum) founder, and Ku Klux Klan grand wizard Don Black.
Derek now spends his time warning and advocating against white nationalism and similar ideologies. According to him, white nationalism has crept into America’s media mainstream — via Fox News. One of the conservative network’s most familiar faces, Tucker Carlson, is an inspiration to white supremacists across the country, according to Black.

That “serious family emergency” that kept Jeanine Pirro from appearing on Hannity Friday – one day before her suspension ended – didn’t keep her from her usual show Saturday tonight - but she didn’t have the decency to apologize for her bigoted attack on Rep. Ilhan Omar that Fox "strongly condemned."
As you probably know, Pirro was reportedly suspended for two weeks following her shocking smear of Rep. Ilhan Omar on March 9. That night, Pirro suggested that Omar’s hijab is an indication she hates the U.S. Although Fox issued a statement “strongly condemn[ing]” Pirro’s rhetoric, the network refused to publicly comment on why Pirro was absent. CNN reported she had been suspended for two weeks.
Oh dear lord, why is this man given a microphone?
On Laura Ingraham's podcast released March 28, she spoke to paleo-conservative and Nazi apologist Pat Buchanan.
In a discussion on Trump's draconian immigration policies (because who else would you talk about immigration to than white supremacist Pat Buchanan?), Buchanan told Ingraham that he's against immigration because, after all, the "African-Americans" have been here for 400 years and they still haven't "fully assimilated," so how could we expect more of those trying to cross the border.
No, seriously. This is what passes for logical thought processes among conservatives.
"Well, the point is, in these -- 90 percent of these are folks coming from what you might call the second or the third world. And people are, you know, people are fundamentally, basically good, but there's no doubt there's a greater difficulty in assimilating people from different civilizations and cultures and ethnicities and races in the United State, than there -- than other folks.
And we know this is true, African-Americans have been here since 1619. They've helped build and create the nation. They're part of its culture and history, and yet we haven't fully assimilated African-American citizens."

Today-- as you have probably been reminded dozens of times already-- is the end of the FEC's fiscal quarter. It's a big deal for candidates, as they are pressured to post winning numbers-- or else.
Screw that!
Sunday is the day we send out our e-mails and we're not letting any of the end-of-the-quarter bull get in the way.
We want to ask you to donate to these candidates, not because the DCCC is making every campaign crazy with their end-of-the-quarter drivel, but because the DCCC is not where any of them are going to find any help, no matter how much money they raise.
Under Cheri Bustos' incumbent protection scam, some of them already have the DCCC working against them.
Remember when the DCCC liked to claim they "stayed out of primaries!"?
Look at this:
Um...
The news that Donald Trump has decided to cut aid to three Central American countries (Honduras, Guatamala and El Salvador--all troubled nations from which many in the migrant caravans crossing through Mexico came) got translated to the geniuses at Fox News as "3 Mexican countries".
Because all those brown people are all the same? Obviously, to the Fox News viewer, they're all just "those Mexicans crossing the border."
For the record, Mexico is only one country and is not one of the countries being targeted by Trump's stupid and backwards policy.
Fast, affordable food delivery service has been life-changing for many working Chinese, but some still prefer to whip up their own meals. These people may not have the time to pick up fresh ingredients from brick-and-mortar stores, so China’s startups and large companies are trying to make home-cooked meals more effortless for busy workers by sending vegetables and meats to apartment doors.
The fresh grocery sector in China recorded 4.93 trillion yuan ($730 billion) in total sales last year, growing steadily from 3.37 trillion yuan in 2012 according to data collected by Euromonitor and Hua Chuang Securities. Most of these transactions still happen inside wet markets and supermarkets, leaving online retail, which accounted for only 3 percent of total grocery sales in 2016, much room for growth.
Ecommerce leaders Alibaba and JD.com have already added grocery to their comprehensive online shopping malls, nestling in the market with more focused players like Tencent-backed MissFresh (每日优鲜), which has raised $1.4 billion to date. The field has just grown a little more crowded with new entrant Meituan, the Tencent-backed food delivery and hotel booking giant that raised $4.2 billion through a Hong Kong listing last year.

The service, which comes in a new app called “Meituan Maicai” or Meituan grocery shopping that’s separate from the company’s all-in-one app, set out in Shanghai in January before it muscled into Beijing last week. The move follows Meituan’s announcement in its mid-2018 financial report to get in on grocery delivery.
Meituan’s solution to take grocery the last mile is not too different from those of its peers. Users pick from its 1,500 stock keeping units ranging from yogurt to pork loin, fill their in-app shopping carts and pay via their phones, the firm told TechCrunch. Meituan then dispatches its delivery fleets to people’s doors in as little as 30 minutes.
The instant delivery is made possible by a satellite of physical “service stations” across neighborhoods that serve warehousing, packaging and delivering purposes. Placing offline hubs alongside customers also allows data-driven internet firms to optimize warehouse stocking based on local user preferences. For instance, people from an upscale residential area probably eat and shop differently from those in other parts of the city.
Meituan’s foray into grocery shopping further intensifies its battle with Alibaba to control how Chinese people eat. Alibaba’s Hema Supermarket has been running on a similar setup that uses its neighborhood stores as warehouses and fulfillment centers to facilitate 30-minute delivery within a three-kilometer radius. For years, Meituan’s food delivery arm has been going neck-and-neck with Ele.me, which Alibaba scooped up last year. More recently, Alibaba and Meituan are racing to get restaurants to sign up for their proprietary software, which can supposedly give owners more insights into diners and beef up customer engagement.
As part of its goal to be an “everything” app, Meituan has tried out many new initiatives in the lead-up to its initial public offering but was also quick to put them on hold. The firm acquired bike-sharing service Mobike last April only to shutter its operations across Asia in less than a year for cost-saving. Meituan also paused expansion on its much-anticipated ride-hailing business.
But grocery delivery appears to be closer to Meituan’s heart, the “eating” business, to put in its own words. Meituan is tapping its existing infrastructure to get the job done, for example, by summoning its food delivery drivers to serve the grocery service during peak hours. As the company noted in its earnings report last year, the grocery segment could leverage its “massive user base and existing world’s largest intra-city on-demand delivery network.”
