Dumb And Dumber: Vos Recall Part Deux

As previously reported, the group of misfit Trump supporters and election deniers who had unsuccessfully attempted to recall Wisconsin Speaker Robin Vos threatened to make a second attempt even before the first one was officially declared dead. This week, they made good on their threat by filing signature pages for another go at it:

A group of election conspiracy theorists and supporters of Donald Trump seeking to recall Assembly Speaker Robin Vos on Tuesday submitted a new batch of petitions that they say contain enough signatures to trigger a recall election of the state Legislature's top Republican after their first attempt failed.

Now, the group says they have more than 9,000 signatures, exceeding the required number by about 2,100. Wisconsin Elections Commission staff will now review the signatures to determine whether enough are valid − a process that turned up forgeries and other invalid signatures during the group's first attempt.

CNN Finally Pays Attention To All Of Those Haley Primary Voters

Better late than never I guess. CNN did something that's been sorely lacking in the media these days, which is to talk to what's left of some of the sane voters in the Republican party who are disgusted with Trump and voted for Nikki Haley in the primary.

Here's how the segment started out from this Wednesday's Anderson Cooper 360, with John King traveling to Pennsylvania and interviewing a former Trump voter:

KING: Michael Pesce's first big political statement came 40 years ago.

PESCE: I became a Republican when I turned 18 because of Ronald Reagan. Both my parents were staunch Democrats and I, at the time they were like, we're Democrats we're not Republicans. And I was like no, no, no. I'm a Reagan Republican.

KING: The Philadelphia suburbs were reliably red back then. Pesce, a reluctant piece of why they are much more blue now.

So in 2016, you voted for...

PESCE: Trump.

KING: And in 2020?

PESCE: Biden.

KING: And you've got an election a few months. What are you gonna do?

PESCE: If I had my choice, I wouldn't vote for either, but I will vote for Biden. I will vote for anyone but Trump.

KING: Why?

PESCE: Well, so, he tried to overthrow our government, and that's a problem with me. I served in the US military. I just have very strong feelings about what it means to be an American.

Fox News’ Perino Reminds Pirro Trump Could Have Called Weisselberg To Testify

Fox News' Dana Perino actually injected a bit of sanity in between the ramblings about Trump's trial in New York from her fellow hosts on The Five this Wednesday.

Following Trump's daily rant outside of the courthouse, Pirro immediately jumped to his defense, repeating his nonsense that he was treated unfairly because we didn't hear from some witnesses that he wants to pretend were stopped from testifying.

Here's how Judge Box-O-Wine started things out following Trump's presser:

PIRRO: All right. There's Donald Trump calling this a witch hunt and a weaponization of the judicial system. He apparently, Dana, was very upset about the fact that certain witnesses were not called. He said they're viscous the people and what they've done to that person is outrageous. He is talking Weisselberg, Allen Weisselberg, the former CFO, who is under the prosecution's control, who had material evidence, who would have said that Trump never talked to him about the vouchers, the invoice, or the drafting of the check.

Which was followed by Perino rightfully pointing out that the defense could have called him.

PERINO: It's one of the big questions, right? Where is Weisselberg. If you are on the jury, you ask why didn't we hear from him, but correct me if I'm wrong, but the judge asked both the prosecution and defense, do you want to have Weisselberg, and they both said no. So, maybe, Trump's lawyers had a reason for saying that.

Fox And Friends' Verdict: Trump's Popularity Rises If Convicted

Fox and friends desperately looked for the bright side of Trump's future being determined by a jury.

They started by critiquing a Washington Post article that offers different scenarios if Trump is found guilty.

The four-headed monster spent a lot of time discussing the possibility of Trump being convicted of a crime they say "never happened."

As you might expect, there is never bad news on Fox and Friends for diminished Donald. Kilmeade and Co. gushed over Trump like apostles of his cult.

Only the MAGA cult views this as a deep-state plot against traitor Trump.

Kilmeade: He's in front of people. That's where he excels. That's where they get their mailing lists. That's where they find out who the voters are. That's where they find out who had to get other voters from the ones that show up.

Earhardt: But it could help him, Brian, because he's actually more popular, raised more money in April after all of this started, after the trial started, than Joe Biden did. And if America sees that they're trying to keep a presidential candidate, there are only two, and one of them has to, A, be in a courtroom for six weeks, and then right after that, has to be in home confinement.

Doocy: If he's convicted, I think his popularity goes up.

Earhardt: I do too.

AI models have favorite numbers, because they think they’re people

AI models are always surprising us, not just in what they can do, but what they can’t, and why. An interesting new behavior is both superficial and revealing about these systems: they pick random numbers as if they’re human beings. But first, what does that even mean? Can’t people pick a number randomly? And how […]

Robert De Niro Defends Capitol Police Against MAGAt Heckler

Robert De Niro shouted down a Trump supporter who unconscionably called the Capitol police liars, after they defended against treasonous Trump supporters who tried to overthrow the federal government on January 6th.

De Niro's speech was accurate and powerful, and when the award-winning actor turned back to thank the two Capitol officers who defended the US Constitution against insurrectionists, a MAGAt jumped in.

"They lied under oath," either a right-wing reporter or Trump supporter yelled at De Niro.

"They lied under oath," De Niro said sarcastically. "Who lied under oath? What are you telling me?"

"Those two traitors behind you --- " De Niro interrupted. "Excuse me They lied under oath?"

"That's right."

"What are you saying?"

"They're traitors."

"They're traitors?" a dismayed De Niro said.

"I don't know; I don't even know how to deal with you, my friend. I don't even know how to deal with you," De Niro replied mocking this asshole.

"They stood there; they didn't have to. And other ones in there probably were in with them a little bit too and they found a way to get around. Not these guys. They stood there and fought for us, for you," DeNiro said. "For you!"

"They weren't fighting for me," the MAGAt said.

"No, yeah, no, they fought for you, buddy. You're able to stand right here now."

At this point, Bill Hemmer interrupted the sequence.

Rep. Dean: Honor Our War Dead By Following The Constitution

Rep. Madeleine Dean yesterday blasted Sam Alito for blaming his wife for displaying the upside-down flag outside his home in the days following the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol. Via The Hill:

In an interview on NewsNation’s “The Hill Sunday,” Dean invoked Memorial Day and stressed the importance of abiding by a code of ethics when asked to respond to the latest Alito controversy.

“I think I’ll end where I started, which is: How do we honor the war dead in this country? We honor the war dead in this country by upholding our Constitution, by abiding by a code of ethics, which Justice Alito seems like he doesn’t care for,” Dean said. “He has shown bias, he has shown impropriety, strangely tried to blame it on his wife,” Dean continued. “Aren’t we above that? We honor our war dead by upholding the rule of law and the Constitution.”

The New York Times reported that an upside-down American flag flew outside Alito’s Virginia home in January 2021 — around the time rioters stormed the Capitol when Congress was set to certify Joe Biden’s 2020 election win over then-President Trump.

Trump Gets Destroyed By Libertarians At Convention Speech

Donald Trump was met with continuous rounds of boos and catcalls as he spoke at the Libertarian Convention Saturday evening.

Unable to fill the audience with MAGAts and paid Trump supporters, every time Trump tried to brag about himself he was shouted down vociferously.

When Trump said the Libertarian Party should nominate Trump for president the boos turned into a cacophony.

DeRoy wrote, Donald J. Trump will address the Libertarian Party at his national convention on Saturday.

The Libertarian Party should nominate Trump for President of the United States.

Whoa.

That's nice, that's nice. Only if you want to win, only if you want to win. Maybe you don't want to win, maybe you don't want to win.

No, only do that if you want to win. If you want to lose, don't do that. Keep getting your 3% every four years.

Calling the Libertarian party a bunch of 3% losers is not the way to win them over, but Trump's ego couldn't handle not speaking to cult members.

It didn't get better for Trump after that.

Diminished Donald's voice was cracking as he continually had to try to scream over the boos and hecklers of the crowd.

Now I think you should nominate me, or at least vote for me, and we should win together.

You heard those words, nominate me or vote.

Vote for me.

Trump Brags That He Can Put His Pants On All By Himself

Donald Poopy Pants's rally in the Bronx on Thursday did about as well as you'd expect in an area that voted heavily for Biden in 2020. Featured at the rally were two gentlemen, Sleepy Hallow and Sheff G, who were indicted last May along with 30 other gang members on a 140-count criminal indictment, including for murder and a fuckton of shootings.

But wait, there's more. Then he asked the crowd if he was "hotter" before becoming President or after. And when one of his supporters needed water while waiting for medical assistance, Lumpy pulled out a bottle of water, and drank it himself.

And now we're at the part of his rally where he brags about putting on his pants all by himself every morning. I'm only surprised the business execs he's talking about weren't described as big guys with tears in their eyes.

"Some of the greatest days of my business career were in the toughest times, but I enjoyed waking up every single morning and going to battle," Trump said. "A lot of people say to me today, the toughest business people. People that you know about, could I ask you a question?"

"How do you do it?" Trump recalled being asked. "I say, do what? How do you get up in the morning and put your pants on? I put the pants on I'll explain it to you someday."

Trump Rallygoer Threatens 'Civil War' If Biden Wins

One supporter of Donald Trump warned Thursday that President Joe Biden's re-election could result in a new civil war.

While waiting for Trump to speak at a Bronx rally, a man who identified himself as a Marine Corps veteran spoke to Gateway Pundit host Jordan Conradson.

"And you know, speaking of that election integrity, how do you expect 2024 to be?" Conradson asked. "Do you think it's going to be fair?"

"I mean, we see what they're trying to do to Trump here in New York, out there in D.C. and Florida with these political persecutions, but also with illegal immigrants flooding across our border, likely probably going to vote in this next election," the Trump supporter replied.

"I mean, do you think it's going to be a secure election?" the host wondered.

"No, it's not," the veteran said. "And that's the number one thing that me and my other veterans was talking about. How do you let all these migrants in the vote?"

"But it's not going to work," he explained. "They're going to try to do the sneaky things and stuff, but you know, we're here and we're going to stand firm. You might have saw that movie, Civil War."

The 2024 film "Civil War" depicts a conflict that fractures the United States. At the end of the film, the president of the United States is executed.

Buttigieg Calls Out Boebert In The Most Buttigieg Way Possible

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg on Wednesday called out controversial Beetlejuice Lady Lauren Boebert for grabbing credit for something she voted against in 2021. Republicans keep doing this. It's as if they have no shame.

BoBo boasted about securing "over $51.4 million for the South Bridge," but that money came from the Rural Surface Transportation Grant Program, which the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act established. Imagine that.

In a photo she posted of herself standing with Glenwood Springs City Councilor and former Mayor Jonathan Godes, she praised the nearly $30 million in "cost savings in addition and that my support has helped make this project a reality." And she got a community note attached to her lie on Xitter.

Ooof. Cue Pete Buttigieg, who asked her in the nicest possible way where the fuck she thought that money came from.

"Congresswoman, in what way do you believe that your support helped this project?" he asked. "We chose it because it's a good project and funded it using President Biden's infrastructure package, which you voted against."

Lawyers Found Classified Documents In Trump's Bedroom Months After Raid

Oh look, more crimes Judge Aileen Cannon is going to try to prevent Trump from ever being held accountable for.

The hits just keep on coming: Federal judge found ‘strong evidence’ of crimes before Trump was charged in classified documents case:

Months before Donald Trump was indicted for mishandling classified documents, a federal judge said that investigators had “strong evidence” that the former president “intended” to hide classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago resort, according to newly released court documents.

Judge Beryl Howell cited, among other things, the discovery of additional classified documents found at Mar-a-Lago months after the FBI’s search of the property in the summer of 2022. The records included a “mostly empty” folder marked as “Classified Evening Summary” that was found in the former president’s bedroom, as well as four other documents with classification markings found in his post-presidential office at the resort.

“Notably, no excuse is provided as to how the former president could miss the classified-marked documents found in his own bedroom at Mar-a-Lago,” Howell wrote in March 2023.

Tucker Carlson Begins Hosting Program On Russia 24

I suppose it's fitting that Tucker's first show on the Russian state tv channel will be about ticks and Lyme disease. Parasites who feed on the blood of humans (and animals) seem to be what Tucker is all about too.

An American journalist and former Fox News presenter began hosting his own show on Russian television. The TUCKER show is shown on the Rossiya 24 TV channel.

The TUCKER show itself is a joint project of the YouTube channel “Carlson TV” and “Russia 24”. The first issue is dedicated to ticks and Lyme disease. Carlson talks with an expert throughout the broadcast about the problem of the spread of the disease.

In February of this year, Carlson visited Moscow and interviewed Russian President Vladimir Putin. During his visit, the journalist admired the beauty of the Russian capital. At the end of April, the correspondent talked with philosopher Alexander Dugin.

Delusional Trump: 'I Did More For Black Americans Than Lincoln'

Trump's NRA speech on Saturday was marred by insane rantings and unexplained long pauses when the orange disgrace claims he's been better for Black Americans than Abraham Lincoln tops the list.

This isn't the first time he's tried to compare himself to Lincoln, and even the great MLK, but it's just as sickening as it ever was.

What type of man would do such a thing? A treasonous, lecherous, fat slob fascist covering up his age with make-up that's so thick it covers up his hair.

And honestly, there's been no president since Abraham Lincoln, and perhaps in a certain way, including Abraham Lincoln, but there's been no president since Abraham Lincoln that has done more for the black individual in this country than President Donald J. Trump.

There's been nobody, not even close.

Colleges and universities, criminal justice reform, Opportunity Zones.

Tim Scott did a great job with the Opportunity Zones, Tim Scott of South Carolina.

And we've done more for African Americans than any other president since Lincoln.

Let's give Lincoln his due, OK?

But that's the way it is.

The Democrats are all talk, no action.

I was little talk and total action.

Maybe he should tell George Floyd's family what he did for them.

The man who wanted to execute the Central Park Five needs to be in a jail cell and then in a straitjacket.

Trump Floats Idea Of Serving Third Term During NRA Speech

He's already tried overthrow the results of an election once, and as many have warned, he'll try to do it again. Here's Trump saying the quiet part out loud again during his speech this weekend:

The highlight of the National Rifle Association (NRA) annual meeting on Saturday was a speech by former president Donald Trump, which came late but was ripe with sound bites. One takeaway: he proposed the idea of a third term, which he directly spoke against during an interview with Time magazine back in April.

During his afternoon speech in Dallas, Trump — whose criminal hush-money trial in New York is expected to come to a close as soon as Tuesday — likened himself to 32nd President Franklin D. Roosevelt, who had a four term presidency.

“You know, FDR 16 years — almost 16 years — he was four terms. I don’t know, are we going to be considered three-term? Or two-term?” he teased the crowd of gun rights supporters.

TN Brando Pens Ode To Marge: 'Bleach Blonde Bad Built Butch Body'

“Bleach Blonde Bad Built Butch Body” is going viral as we speak.

Source: Vulture

If they’re gonna try to stop us from scrolling on TikTok, then we guess it’s only fair that Congress provides us with some form of entertainment. Call it The Real House Reps of DC. On Thursday night, a House Oversight Committee hearing devolved into what felt like a full-blown reality TV fight when Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene suggested that Rep. Jasmine Crockett couldn’t read properly through her “fake eyelashes.” Ultimately, Greene wasn’t disciplined for this remark, so Crockett later pointedly asked the chairman if that meant it was okay to bring up someone’s “bleach blonde, bad-built, butch body.”

Crockett is already selling shirts with the quote, which she said will be part of a larger “clapback collection” funding efforts to flip the House blue. In the meantime, the internet has memorialized the moment the best way it knows how: with memes. As it turns out, Greene’s not the only one who ticks some people’s “B6” boxes.

C&L Late Night Music Club: Rival Sons Darkfighter

I asked my friend Joe Daly to pick a band we should feature in the LNMC, and he chose Rival Sons. I didn't know much about them, but after listening to their music, I understand why this was his pick.

Daly wrote a brilliant article in 2023 for Classic Rock magazine Loudersound that discusses them in depth.

After six albums in 15 years and touring alongside a raft of A-listers, new album Darkfighter finds Rival Sons ready to take it to the next level.
--
While diehard fans of any band tend to be resistant to change, it’s hard to imagine Rival Sons fans not being exhilarated by Darkfighter.

--
Darkfighter might just be Rival Sons’ masterpiece. It showcases rich emotional depth and compositional maturity, not to mention a dramatic metamorphosis from the swaggering Led Zeppelin worship of their early days to the here and now, where they have conjured a modern, stridently affecting sound that is very much their own. The plan is to play the entire album live on their upcoming tour.

Here is the band's 2024 tour schedule. They will be back in the States in September.

Democrats Must Take Strong Action On Alito And Thomas NOW!

Rubin and Elie Mystal discussed the shocking revelation that Supreme Court Justice flew a reversed “Stop the Steal” flag on his front lawn as the court was considering a 2020 election case. The revelation came not long after we learned that Justice Clarence Thomas gives the distinct appearance of having broken the law by dodging taxes on a forgiven RV loan.

It's long overdue for Democrats to stop wringing their hands and start doing something about it.

Mystal noted that it was already obvious from Alito’s and Thomas’ written opinions and comments at oral arguments that they support the insurrection and are doing everything they can to help Trump evade prosecution and accountability for his crimes. “That’s what they’ve always been,” Mystal said. The question now is, “what are the rest of us going to do about it?” he asked.

Rubin had some excellent ideas. First, she pointed out that Alito ran to Fox News, which you could argue was part of the Stop the Steal movement, to plead his case. More importantly, she also pointed out that Alito was not flying a pro-Trump flag, he flew a flag sympathizing with the overthrow of the Constitution, “a clear violation of his oath.”

Then she suggested we all insist on an end to the “mambsy-pambsy” response from Democrats that has gotten us nowhere.

Fellow Republicans Mock Carpetbagger Eric Hovde

Former Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke went on a right wing talk show where he and the host openly mocked and laughed at Eric Hovde and his many self-induced blunders and continuous need to damage control, such as when Hovde said that people in nursing homes shouldn't be allowed to vote:

You know, the article that was written about the poll that pointed out that the hubby campaign is plagued by mistakes, and it is. He's always out there trying to clean up some mess that he made. You know, it just seems like every time he comes out, it's to clean something up that he said, you know. I understand how this works. I understand these are attack ads, these are hit pieces, but he made some comment during the 2020 -2022 election where he said seniors shouldn't be allowed to vote because they don't really have all their faculty. You know, he said that people in nursing were like, you can't talk like that. What the hell is wrong with you? So, he had to clean that up. And now he's headed, he's on his third position on abortion. He hasn't found his soul yet as it relates to some of these core issues, so it's kind of hard to go on offense when you always clean up on aisle five.

Marge Starts Something; AOC And Rep Crockett 'Finish Her'

The shit hit the fan when Chaos Crew member Marjorie Taylor Greene insulted Texas Democrat Jasmine Crockett for wearing "false eyelashes," as if the Georgia Sasquatch has room to talk about anyone's appearance. Insults were lobbed back and forth, and Ocasio-Cortez demanded an apology from Klan Mom Marge.

That wasn't going to happen (narcissists never apologize unless they're desperate and it's rehearsed), but MTG did agree to have her words stricken from the record.

"Oh, girl," AOC said. "Baby girl."

Marge said: "Oh really?"

"Don't even play," AOC said.

"Baby girl?" Marge said. "I don't think so."

"We're gonna move, and we're gonna take your words down," AOC said.

Comer eventually said, "Miss Greene agrees to strike her words."

AOC said: "I believe she must apologize."

Marge shot back, “I’m not apologizing.”

AOC said, "Well then, you're not retracting your words."

But probably the best part of the back-and-forth was when Crockett called out Greene after James Comer, the Republican chair from Kentucky, would not call out Greene, so she figured that she could say whatever she wanted about the Georgia Republican.

"I'm just curious, just to better understand your ruling," Crockett said to Comer. "If someone on this committee then starts talking about somebody's bleach-blond, bad-built, butch body, that would not be engaging in personalities, correct?"

For Mark Zuckerberg’s fortieth birthday, his wife got him a photoshoot. Zuckerberg gives the camera a sly smile as he sits amid a carefully crafted recreation of his childhood bedroom. It’s appropriately childish – a lava lamp, a participation trophy, a white stuffed dog – yet the surroundings foreshadow the culture-shifting, technological force Zuckerberg would […]

Matt Garman taking over as CEO with AWS at crossroads

It’s tough to say that a $100 billion business finds itself at a critical juncture, but that’s the case with Amazon Web Services, the cloud arm of Amazon, and the clear market leader in the cloud infrastructure market. It ran 110 minutes, but Google managed to reference AI a whopping 121 times during its I/O 2024 (by its own count). 'He Failed': Biden Zings Trump On China After Laying On A Massive Burn

On Tuesday, Biden announced an increase in tariffs on a variety of Chinese imports, including electric vehicles, solar cells, semiconductors, and advanced batteries, to protect strategic American industries from a new wave of competitors that the President said were unfairly subsidized by Beijing, according to the New York Times. Of course, Trump grabbed credit for that, and he was all about tariffs, but at the same time, he criticized Biden for it from the courthouse because, of course he did.

"They've also got to do it on other vehicles, and they have to do it on a lot of other products," he told reporters before entering court for his hush money/election interference trial in New York. "Because China's eating our lunch right now. ... They have to do it on much more than electric vehicles."

Biden spoke to a crowd that included the leaders of several labor unions and representatives from steel, aluminum, and other manufacturers about the difference between his administration's approach and Trump's.

"My predecessor promised increased American exports and boosted manufacturing," President Biden said. "But he did neither. He failed."

A reporter asked, "Trump said today, China is eating our lunch. What do you say in response?"

"He's been feeding them for a long time," Biden said.

Kari Lake Makes Believe Migrant Voting Is Costing Her The Election

MAGA Republican candidate for Arizona Senate seat claimed (with no proof, of course) that as of Sunday, she would lose her Senate race because of election fraud perpetrated by migrants being able to vote illegally.

This is false, but Lake lives and dies over her frivolous election fraud claims. Lake tries to hone in on her latest conspiracy.

KARI LAKE: We're not going to see all these people pouring across the border, showing up at polling places. What they want is to have a line in the voters' rolls so that somebody can vote for that person.

And that's why they're asking them to register to vote when they get set up for Medicare and Medicaid, because they're giving them all of these services.

They're asking them to sign up to vote. Then they have a line in the voter roll, and somebody will vote under that name.

When has that happened, ever? Liars gotta lie.

Bartiromo: So how confident are you, then, that we will have a fair election in November?

Lake: If it were today, I wouldn't be all that confident.

But I know we have a lot of people, including myself, fighting to improve the laws and make sure they're following the laws.

We've got many lawsuits running, one of them in Arizona, fighting to make sure illegals aren't voting.

We have the SAVE Act that I know Mike Johnson and President Trump have been pushing.

Manafort Backs Away From Role In National Convention

Paul Manafort, convicted felon pardoned by Trump, has backed away from his role advising the Republican National Convention.

Paul Manafort, convicted and pardoned felon, has quit his again-unpaid role as advisor to the Republican National Convention.

“As a longtime, staunch supporter of President Trump and given my nearly 50 years experience in managing presidential conventions, I was offering my advice and suggestions to the Trump campaign on the upcoming convention in a volunteer capacity,” Mr. Manafort told The Times, in a statement provided by the Trump campaign.

“However, it is clear that the media wants to use me as a distraction to try and harm President Trump and his campaign by recycling old news,” he said.

Washington Post (gift link) has some new news: Manafort is now working for China instead of Russia. And he’s been trying to hook up with Japan, South Korea, and Guatemala.

Trump's Tongue-tied Dementia Fueled Rant

Trump was in New Jersey Saturday doing his MAGA grievance routine at a rally when he slurred his words so badly it went viral on social media.

Then he whined how he came from New York being forced to endure a Biden show trial.

Then his mouth decided to take a break from his mouth.

"And as you know, I've come here from New York, where I'm being forced to endure a Biden show trial, all done by Biden" Trump whined. "Carried eyt by ret svfeyt ol ben dun."

WTF? That's my best transcript of what he said.

Every Trump 'Prediction' About Biden Was Wrong

Donald Trump predicts that if President Joe Biden is reelected in 2024, the result will be a bloodbath, World War III, "and everything else”—presumably meaning the basic human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together, and mass hysteria.

This all sounds pretty bad. Except, this isn't the first time Trump made this kind of prediction. Rolling back the clock by four years, Trump really does seem to be looking through a glass darkly when it comes to the accuracy of his prognostications.

Trump’s predictions sound very similar to what he predicted would happen if Biden were elected at all. Before the 2020 election, Trump predicted that electing Biden would leave the U.S. a hellscape in which the government and stock markets had collapsed, crime ran rampant, the Constitution was shredded, and what remained of the economy was sunk into a bleak depression.

And he made one other prediction. One that, sadly, did not come true.

Canadian MP Complains About 'Woke' Tim Hortons Coffee Lids

If you've ever been to Canada you'll know that Tim Hortons coffee shops are ubiquitous. So when politicians want to pretend they're "for the little guy" and send out a populist message they invariably show up at a Tim's, coffee cup in hand. And that's just what Member of Parliament Lianne Rood did when she took to Twitter with her dumb video.

"I’m done with Tim Hortons until they stop trying to push these woke paper lids that dissolve in your mouth," said the Conservative MP for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex. Obviously a pressing issue of the day in Canada. Rood noted that "at least if the lids are plastic they're recyclable." Is that so? "Although takeaway coffee cup lids are thought of as ‘generally recyclable’, they are usually made from #6 plastic. Plastic 6 refers to polystyrene (PS), a hard plastic commonly used for household items that is notoriously difficult to recycle."

Source: Timesnownews.com

Conservative Canadian Member of Parliament Lianne Rood has expressed discontent with Tim Hortons after the fast food chain initiated trials of new fiber lids at select locations, departing from the customary plastic lids. Rood criticized the fiber lids as being "woke," alleging that they dissolve in the mouth, prompting her dissatisfaction with the alternative.

Trump Calls Republicans 'The Party Of Fertilization'

Someone let known sex pest Grandpa Sundowner near an open mic, and he bizarrely said that the Republican Party was the party of fertilization, and then added this explanation:

“We want to help the women because they were going to end fertilization, which is where, when the IVF, where women go to the clinics and they get help in having a baby, and that’s a good thing, not a bad thing. And we’re for it a 100%. They tried to say that they weren’t for it. They actually weren’t for it and aren’t for it as much as us, but women see that,” he said.

Indeed, women see you, Republicans. Very clearly.

News Outlets Bury US Christian Nationalist Role In Ukraine

Readers of mainstream news may have learned after the fact about the role Christian evangelicals played in passing arms funding for Ukraine, but the reports they saw uniformly omitted a crucial aspect: The plan to shape Ukraine as a bulwark against LGBTQ+ and reproductive rights.

Instead, sites ranging from Voice of America to the Washington Post described the efforts by Ukrainian evangelicals with no mention of their allies, backers, records or rhetoric. None of these reports included how the Ukrainians pitched their country to U.S. evangelicals: As a European “Bible belt” that Christians can shape, creating “an army of Jesus.”

I first reported on April 10 that Pavlo Unguryan, a Ukrainian evangelical in the U.S. prayer breakfast movement, was conducting shadow diplomacy with both House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. One week later, Johnson announced he would allow a vote on the funding, even if it cost him the speakership.

RNC Hires Bikini Model To Be Their New Spokesperson

The new RNC hired their national spokesperson based on two essential qualities: Elizabeth Pipko is "easy on the eyes," so she'll present well, and she's a diehard MAGA cultist. And that's all they need to know.

Source: New York Post

This MAGA-loving bikini model is suiting up to support Donald Trump — trading the pool for the podium as she lends her ample assets to the Republican National Committee as a new spokeswoman.

Elizabeth Pipko, a 28-year-old born-and-bred Manhattanite, told The Post she’s happy to trade her signature “New York uniform of dark black” for red, white and blue as she helps the rebranded RNC try to re-elect the former president in November.

“The things he’s been through have been unreal. A lot of people look at what he’s up against every day and see his real character,” the Sports Illustrated beauty gushed about Trump, 77.

The RNC, which said it acts as “one unified operation” with the Trump campaign, underwent a major overhaul in March after the ouster of longtime chair Ronna McDaniel.

New co-chairs Michael Whatley and Trump daughter-in-law, Lara Trump have since overseen a significant staffing shake-up that reportedly included some 60 axed employees.

Pipko, the daughter of Jewish Russian immigrants who fled religious persecution, said she considers herself the embodiment of the American dream — and can’t wait to make “a difference."

GOP Lawmaker Worried About Those 'Ripe, Fertile' Teen Girls

The New Hampshire state legislature was debating a bill which would ban teen marriage by raising the minimum age to be married to 18 years old. It was during this debate when State Representative Jess Edwards gave a most disturbing comment:

Rep. Jess Edwards argued that taking away the possibility of marriage could lead more 16- and 17-year-olds to abortion.

“… If we continually restrict the freedom of marriage as a legitimate social option, when we do this to people who are a ripe, fertile age and may have a pregnancy and a baby involved, are we not in fact making abortion a much more desirable alternative, when marriage might be the right solution for some freedom-loving couples?” he said.

Hey, Jess! Keep it in your pants, you old lecher!

Another Republican lawmaker was almost as disgusting:

Republican lawmakers have opposed raising the marriage age in recent years. On Thursday, Rep. Margaret Drye, a Plainfield Republican, argued there were some circumstances in which marriage was a beneficial option for those under 18.

Drye recounted two times when a friend or a family member had obtained judicial approval for a marriage below the age of 16 because of an unexpected pregnancy.

Fox News Guest Predicts Trump Will Commit Perjury On Stand

Democratic strategist Jim Kessler predicted to Fox News that former President Donald Trump would commit perjury if he testifies in his hush money trial.

During a Sunday panel discussion, Kessler told host Mike Emanuel that it would be a mistake for Trump to pick his vice presidential running mate based on who defends him the best against criminal charges.

"I think if Trump is making his VP choice on who defends him best in a trial, it's a dumb way to go about it," Kessler explained. "Look, I don't think these trials are going to have much effect on Donald Trump's popularity unless he testifies."

"If he testifies, then he's going to commit perjury because he did have sex with those women, and there was hush money there," he noted.

Kessler pointed out that voters "already know" about Trump's affairs and legal problems.

"They've already taken that into account," he observed. "So I think, you know, far be it for me to give Donald Trump advice, but he needs to pick someone that's going to help him with women and with Republican moderate voters."

"And if he goes with the ones who defend him best in the trial, he's missing an opportunity."

Former Playboy model Karen McDougal and adult film actress Stormy Daniels have both said they had affairs with Trump while he was married.

Ron De Santis To Solve Climate Change By Not Mentioning It

There's a bill on Ron DeSantis’ desk that, if he signs it, would end the state’s support of renewable and clean energy and keep Florida reliant on fossil fuels. Via the Sun-Sentinel:

If signed, the law would reverse 16 years of state policy, finishing the work started by former Gov. Rick Scott and undoing Gov. Charlie Crist’s signature piece of environmental legislation.

Most troubling to environmentalists, it would eliminate any mention of climate change, even though mostly flat Florida is extremely vulnerable to global warming, as already seen with rising waters in the Keys, Miami Beach and Tampa Bay.
The bill (HB 1645) would ban offshore wind power, while encouraging exploring emerging technologies in nuclear energy, a frightening prospect to those who remember nuclear plants at Chernobyl, Three Mile Island and Crystal River.

“I think it really forces us to back away from the progress we’ve been trying to make,” said state Rep. Lindsay Cross, D-St. Petersburg, an environmental scientist.
For example, she said, the state has invested more than $1.6 billion in Florida climate resiliency grants, encouraging “local governments to be more prepared, but in the same breath saying they don’t believe in climate change.”

The Republicans Are Not Giving Us Their Best

Young America's Foundation, the American version of Hitler's Youth, and the college Republicans at the University of Wisconsin in Madison had collaborated to throw a wild shindig at the Library Mall in Madison. The invitation that they were sharing was something to behold:

scott_walker_party_invite

They promised there would be American flags, free t-shirts, popsicles, Toby Keith and Freedom!

Well, isn't that interesting? They had obviously been planning on this festivity for some time, considering that Toby Keith had passed away three months ago.

Well, OK, maybe they planned it long ago but just never got around to updating that cheap graphic, right? Right? Well, no. If you look at the location, just below, Library Mall, they included "(Street part not criminal part). That is a dig at the pro-peace in Gaza protesters who were in another part of the park. That would make the graphic just a few days old. Surely, they must have known by then that Keith had passed away.

Maybe they had hoped that Zombie Toby Keith was going to perform. It would be awfully gross to just wheel his cadaver out and leave it there like an attraction.

Bankrupt Rudy Giuliani Still Spending Like A Drunken Sailor

Giuliani, Trump's former henchman, lost a massive lawsuit for defaming two Georgia election workers and his creditors claim he's not being honest about the assets he has disclosed.

Giuliani keeps missing his filing deadlines, and his creditor's lawyers have been issuing subpoenas to get to the bottom of his nonsense.

The NY Times reports:

Besieged by creditors and with his income drying up, Rudolph W. Giuliani laid out an austerity program of sorts in January for a federal bankruptcy court.

He would stick to a $43,000-a-month budget, he said in court filings, roughly in line with the income he drew from his retirement accounts and Social Security. That amount would cover, among other expenses, $5,000 in alimony payments to his ex-wife Judith Giuliani, $1,050 for food and housekeeping supplies and $425 for “personal care products and services.”

It did not take him long to blow his budget. In another bankruptcy filing, he said he actually spent nearly $120,000 in January. The accounting of his spending that he provided to the court was spotty and incomplete.

How can a bankrupt scumbag spend almost $120,000 in a month?

MAGA Julie Green: 'Biblical-type Plagues' Will Strike Your Enemies

Julie Green is out with another off-the-wall prophecy and it's a doozy.

As Conover has written before, "To say that MAGA Prophet Julie Green is a thoroughly ridiculous person is putting it mildly -- but apparently, she has some dedicated Q-inspired listeners who find her credible."

JULIE GREEN: My children, you are about to see biblical-type plagues strike some of your enemies, even on their faces.

Boils will be seen.

See who was infected by them.

See how they will try to explain it away.

But know your enemies are very afraid, just as they were in Egypt.

Watch as you have read in my word, and now you will see plagues in your time, to show you I am still the same God, and I still deliver my people from the enemy.

Stay with the Lord.

Green is channeling the movie The Ten Commandments and all her enemies are Yul Brynner.
