Crookie Good Guys: ProPublica Journalists

I can’t think of a better argument for independent, non-corporate journalism than ProPublica. Their journalists dug into the stories that others never got to, whether because they didn’t have the time or didn’t want to threaten access or embarrass their boss’ pals.

In any event, we know about about Clarence Thomas’ Nazi-curious benfactor, Harlan Crow, those luxurious vacations Thomas never disclosed, Crow's purchase of Thomas’ mother’s house, also not disclosed, and more, thanks to ProPublica. Plus the starring role of Leonard Leo and other right-wing billionaires in buying bringing us the current right-wing extremist Supreme Court we have today.

Fox & Friends Launches New 14th Amendment Conspiracy Theory

You'll never guess who they believe is behind the so-called "liberal" plot to keep Trump off the ballot in Colorado and Maine. Too bad for them those original plaintiffs were Republicans. Here are the hosts of this Sunday's Fox & Friends Weekend, doing their best to spin David Axelrod's recent comments about the 14th Amendment cases into some grand scheme by... Barack Obama.

Cohosts Joey Jones, Rachel-Campos Duffy and Pete Hegseth started off the segment by playing some of Axelrod's remarks from this weekend:

Former Obama adviser David Axelrod warned Friday that a court decision removing former President Trump from the primary ballot “would rip the country apart” as legal questions mount over his candidate qualifications. [...]

“I have very, very strong reservations about all of this,” Axelrod said in an “Erin Burnett OutFront” interview on CNN. “I do think it would rip the country apart if he were actually prevented from running because tens of millions of people want to vote for him.”

“I think if you’re going to beat Donald Trump, you’re going to probably have to do it at the polls,” he continued. [...]

Fox News Hosts Pretend Only Confederates Can Be Insurrectionists

We've watched Fox "news" for years now try to whitewash, minimize and rewrite history about what happened on January 6th when Trump sent his mob to storm the Capitol to try to help him overturn a free and fair election, and they're still at it today.

During a discussion on this Friday's Outnumbered with the B Team filling in about the decision from the Maine Secretary of State, Shenna Bellows, ruling that Trump in ineligible to be on the 2024 primary ballot, mirroring what we just saw out of Colorado, cohosts Julie Banderas, David Webb and Cheryl Casone gave what may have been some of the most lame attempts at defending Trump yet. Apparently the definition of an insurrectionist only applies to Confederates.

Here's the back and forth which also includes some really ridiculous whataboutism with Joe Biden as well, and pretending poor old picked on Trump hasn't done anything to cause his own problems. He just has some "issues in the court system." I believe the word you're looking for Julie is indictments.

Profile In Courage: Haley Refuses To Say Slavery Caused Civil War

Here is the candidate the anti-Trump right is hoping defeats him in Iowa or New Hampshire.

Nikki Haley has been a profile in spinelessness from day one, and nothing has changed between now and then, with her refusing to give a straight answer to an audience member at a town hall in New Hampshire on whether slavery was the cause of the Civil War:

The former UN Ambassador and South Carolina governor, who has seen her star rise in the first-in-the-nation primary state, was appearing at a town hall event in Berlin, New Hampshire, when a voter asked her to identify the cause of the war.

“I think the cause of the Civil War was basically how government was going to run,” she responded. “The freedoms and what people could and couldn’t do. What do you think the cause of the Civil War was or argument?”

The questioner, who could not be easily heard off camera, was apparently unpersuaded by Haley’s response. When she asked him what he believed the cause of the war was, he replied that he wasn’t running for president.

Jack Smith Isn't Done Pushing Judge Aileen Cannon Toward A Speedy Trial

Special counsel Jack Smith continues pushing U.S. District Court Judge Aileen Cannon to grant a "speedy trial" in a classified documents case against former President Donald Trump and two of his employees.

In a filing on Tuesday, Smith presented the court with his ninth speedy trial report. Smith noted that the Speedy Trial Act requires the filing of reports.

"In its July 21 Order Granting in Part Government's Motion to Continue Trial and Resetting Deadlines (ECF No. 83), the Court excluded all of the time between the date of that Order and the trial date of May 20, 2024," Smith explained. "The Court confirmed that the same Speedy Trial clock applies to each defendant, that it has been tolled until May 20, 2024, and that 70 days remain on the Speedy Trial clock."

While Smith is seeking a speedy trial, attorneys for Trump have sought to slow down the proceedings.

"There is no basis in law or fact for proceeding in such an indeterminate and open-ended fashion, and the Defendants provide none," Smith's team wrote in a July filing.

Turley Wins Suck-Up Of The Year Defending Trump's Horrific Christmas Post

Jonathan Turley made sure to play the Fox News Trump ass-kisser to the very end of the year, when he defended the indefensible, yet again.

On Christmas Day, Trump blasted out a "truth" on his failing social media platform which went beyond the previous rants that day. "Merry Christmas to all, including Crooked Joe Biden’s ONLY HOPE, Deranged Jack Smith, the out of control Lunatic who just hired outside attorneys, fresh from the SWAMP (unprecedented!), to help him with his poorly executed WITCH HUNT against “TRUMP” and “MAGA,” he wrote in a full-fledged rant. "

"Included also are World Leaders, both good and bad, but none of which are as evil and “sick” as the THUGS we have inside our Country who, with their Open Borders, INFLATION, Afghanistan Surrender, Green New Scam, High Taxes, No Energy Independence, Woke Military, Russia/Ukraine, Israel/Iran, All Electric Car Lunacy, and so much more, are looking to destroy our once great USA," he raved.

Then the final Christmas wish: "MAY THEY ROT IN HELL. AGAIN, MERRY CHRISTMAS!"

Along comes Jonathan Turley this morning with his effort to neutralize the venom:

Russian Soldiers Leave Furious Video Messages For Putin

I'm reminded watching these videos how much I miss Yevgeny Prigozhin's videos when he would scream Shoigu!!, blaming Russia's Minister of Defense for all the ills of their war in Ukraine. But even Prigozhin was careful not to criticize President Putin. Not so here, and perhaps tellingly in one video, the soldier makes no effort to conceal his identity.

And it's no wonder they're so angry. Russia has been recruiting about 120,000 soldiers every six months, but attriting at a fantastic rate, pushing too many untrained recruits to the front lines who, as the Ukrainians put it, become almost instant "biomass", leaving just 40,000 of those men still alive in time for the next wave. And unlike in the Ukrainian military, if you're Russian you aren't rotated out. That's led many to speculate that Russia will have to go to forced conscription after the next presidential election in March, a move that will be wildly unpopular but necessary to continue their war effort.

Source: Newsweek

A man believed to be a Russian soldier has ripped into President Vladimir Putin and other officials in an expletive-ridden video shared on social media.

The clip of the supposed soldier was uploaded to X, formerly Twitter, by Ukraine's former Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Anton Herashchenko on December 23.

2023 Crookie Award For Creeper Of The Year: CPAC's Matt Schlapp

Back in January, we were wondering how Schlapp was going to explain accusations of groping the crotch of a male staffer for Herschel Walker's campaign to his wife. Nothing has gotten better since then. As we discussed when this first broke, Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) chairman Matt Schlapp wasbeing accused of groping the crotch of a male staffer for Herschel Walker's campaign while driving back from a bar.

Since then, we had the victim give an interview to NBC News, but CPAC was still standing by their man.

Christian Walker, son of Herschel, called out Schlapp over the groping accusation, and not long after that, text message corroborated the allegations against Schlapp.

Schlapp responded to the allegations, threatening to counter-sue, and as we said at the time, yeah, good luck with that pal.

The Washington Post looked into the allegations, and found there were a whole lot of other CPAC employees who found the environment there "toxic."

2023 Crookie Award To Well-Deserved ‘Abject Failure’ Rep. Comer

You just had to know that Rep. James Comer would earn himself a Crookie 2023 Baddie Award for being a duplicitous piece of dumbshit. You were right.

Kentucky Rep. James Comer was their guy. Republicans, at Trump's bidding, were going to launch investigations into President Joe Biden as revenge for the former President's impeachments. They took the House, and now they would move in on the President. Oh, sweet revenge!

The problem here is that highly damaging evidence was presented to impeach Lumpy. Republicans have come up empty with tying Biden to his son's financial dealings. Empty.

And Trump's second impeachment, unlike his first, was bipartisan. 10 Republican lawmakers joined Democrats to cast their vote to impeach Trump. Every Democrat has voted against an impeachment inquiry into Biden.

The Congressional Integrity Project described Comer's impeachment effort as "eight months of abject failure."

Comer, the chair of the oversight committee, has "repeatedly overhyped allegations of bribery and corruption against Biden without once producing hard evidence," according to the watchdog report.

In other words, he/they lied to spin this country into chaos on false charges before the 2024 election. That sure sounds like election interference to me.

2023 Crookie Of The Year Goes To Elon Musk, That Stupid F*ck

It's that time of the year again when we award the best people of 2023 with a Good Guy Crookie Award and the shittiest people with a Baddie Award. And one of the shittiest, most narcissistic dickwads that I can think of is Elon Musk. Now, we've all heard about Musk because he's the richest guy in the world. Well, someone had to be. He's a billionaire, but he's no Taylor Swift.

He's the opposite of Taylor Swift. Sure, successful individuals are highly criticized, so that's to be expected, but what kind of a bellend billionaire decides to be some sort of Edgelord for the far-right because his self-worth is so minimal that he is almost damaged beyond repair. So, he decided to play footsie with white nationalists to make him feel better about himself? I'm not a psychiatrist, but from reading about Elon, he might have daddy issues. There are definitely some issues.

CBS Reporter Reveals New Details Of Jack Smith's 'Sprawling' Case Against Trump

CBS correspondent Robert Costa said his sources revealed that special counsel Jack Smith has a more "sprawling" case against Donald Trump than previously thought.

Costa reacted to news that the Supreme Court had given Trump a minor win by refusing Smith's petition to decide on the former president's immunity claims immediately.

"As I look ahead as a reporter, the campaign is going to come back again and again, likely to the high court, and how it's going to consider Trump's conduct in and around January 6th," Costa said. "Whether it's the immunity question, whether it's about the January 6th defendants who have their cases coming before the Supreme Court, whether it's about how the court's going to proceed if Trump's convicted in the special counsel case."

Costa said the question would be whether Trump conspired against the United States government.

"Based on our reporting at CBS News, the special counsel has phone records," he explained. "He has memos and diary entries from key witnesses, like former Vice President Mike Pence, key eyewitness testimony from people who are inside the Oval Office with Trump."

"But they had something in the special counsel's office the January 6th Committee never had, which is subpoena power to really go deep with witnesses and not just get public testimony and some depositions," he added. "They've gone deep. And I've talked to people who participated in this investigation as lawyers, sometimes even as witnesses."

Sweden To Elon: Get Unionized Or Get Out!

Tesla CEO Elon Musk's tough lesson in labor rights continued in Scandinavia Thursday, as one Danish progressive politician offered some advice to the electric vehicle executive: "Don't mess with Nordic unions."

Musk's refusal to sign a collective bargaining agreement for just 130 mechanics in Sweden has proven to be a significant miscalculation about the power of unions in Nordic countries, as more than a dozen collective bargaining units across Sweden have made Tesla's operations increasingly difficult in the country in solidarity with the mechanics and their demand for a minimum wage.

As Common Dreamsreported earlier this month, Musk—the world's richest person—has appeared flat-footed in recent weeks as unionized postal workers, delivery drivers, and electricians have refused to work with Tesla to help pressure the company to sign the mechanics' contract.

France 24reported last week that "garbage is piling up outside Tesla centers as refuse collectors refuse to pick it up" and cleaning staff are also declining to work in Tesla showrooms.

"I cannot get enough of this story," said Sarah Anderson of the U.S. economic justice think tank Institute for Policy Studies last week.

Hitler Watch!

Donald Trump isn't being subtle. At a New Hampshire event on Saturday, he claimed that immigrants (in a nation of immigrants, no less) are "poisoning the blood of our country.” Yet it wasn't the first time his rhetoric parroted Adolf Hitler's genocidal manifesto, "Mein Kampf."

Trump's dry run for using the phrase came in September during an interview with the right-wing website The National Pulse. Now Trump is casually dropping Nazisms at campaign rallies even as his top aides and allies try to gaslight the media into downplaying Trump's autocratic devotions.

Bret Baier: Forgiving Student Debt Equals A Coup Attempt

On Monday's Special Report on Fox News, alleged "neutral, serious news side" host Brett Baier claimed that President Biden using his presidential powers to give students much-needed debt relief was equivalent to Trump fomenting a coup and inciting an insurrection to overthrow the US government in 2020.

After reading a portion of Liz Cheney's new book, Baier, playing a good Trump defender, quoted a Wall Street Journal opinion article (but claimed an op-ed was not MAGA related or published by an outlet owned by his boss the Murdochs) that made the fictitious case that Biden using duly elected powers echoed Trump's traitorous behavior.

"We know what he will do, he's already done it," Cheney replied. "We saw what he did when --- tried to seize power in 2020 and of course January 6. And he tells us every day."

Baier continued to push on with his bothsiderist nonsense. Cheney vehemently disagreed.

"Right. But what about the point it made in this op-ed, specifically and I understand what you’re saying about the former president, what you feel about what would happen," Baier replied.

"But you haven’t been vocal about President Biden’s executive orders to cancel student loans, ban evictions, mandate COVID vaccines. ”

Cheney tried to respond, but Baier made sure to put up a Fox News graphic trying to paint President Biden as a dictator by using actual constitutional powers.

Nikki Haley Squirms To Dodge Question On Trump's 'Absolute Immunity'

In a recent interview, Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley dodged a question about Donald Trump's claims of "presidential immunity."

ABC's Jonathan Karl asked Haley if she agreed Trump was immune from Jan. 6 prosecutions because he was president at the time he allegedly incited a mob to attack the U.S. Capitol.

"So let me ask you, speaking of Trump, he has claimed absolute immunity in his defense to the election interference case," Karl said. "Is that your view? Do you believe a president has absolute immunity for anything that happens while they're president?"

"I'm gonna let the courts figure that out," Haley replied without saying if she would use a presidential immunity defense.

"I mean, the last thing you're gonna see me do is weigh in or learn the details about any of his court cases because I can't follow 91 charges, and I'm not going to," she opined.

"Forget his case," Karl pressed, "do you think that a president of the United States that, if you get elected president, you would have absolute immunity for anything you did while you were president?"

"Well, I think the court issues are, do you have immunity when you're president?" Haley replied. "When you're not president? At what point does that line fall? I'm going to let judges decide that. I don't know where the line falls."

Trump Continues Long Obsession With Windmills In Weird Rant

To understand former President Donald Trump's obsession with windmills is to grasp how a narcissist's mind works. They can hold a grudge like no other. Trump's hatred for windmills has lasted for years. Years. The one-term President has been laser-focused on windmills (except he didn't do anything about them while in office) ever since he learned of a plan to build 11 wind turbines off the Scottish coast that would obstruct his view.

And he will never let it go. Never.

"Let's assume you're a big believer in this. They send big fumes. And so you add it all up, and it's terrible. You can't get rid of the blades," he insisted. "They only last ten years. The energy is the most expensive energy you can do."

"They kill all our birds. If you want to see a bird cemetery, go under a windmill some time, you'll see birds like you never saw! It's a very, if you love birds, you'll start to weep," he continued. "But it's it's just the craziest thing. They ruin our planes and fields. They're killing our whales. You know, the whales are coming in. I think we had one whale come in in 50 years. This year, we had like 12."

DeSantis Vows To Help Man Who Destroyed Legal Satanist Display

A former congressional candidate from Mississippi was charged with criminal mischief on Thursday for destroying a Satanic Temple of Iowa display at the state capitol, the Des Moines Register reported. The display is legal under Iowa law. Iowa’s conservative governor, Kim Reynolds, who has endorsed DeSantis, defended the law. “In a free society, the best response to objectionable speech is more speech,” she said.

Joe Biden Zings Trump In 2024 Preview

President Joe Biden has been honing his reelection message at a series of high-dollar fundraisers across the country where White House rules prohibit cameras, according to CNN.

Biden's repertoire varies from unusually frank straight talk to the type of zingers Americans rarely see from mild-mannered Joe.

At recent events in Los Angeles, Boston, and Washington, Biden relayed a version of this: “[Trump] didn’t even show up for my inauguration. I can’t say it disappointed me. My guess is he’s not going to show up on my next inauguration either.”

The president has also been more explicit about the mess he inherited and his ability to steer the country through it.

“When I came to office and this nation was flat on its back, I knew what to do,” he said.

At times, Biden actually name-checked Trump, adopting a more combative tone.

“Trump just talks to talk. We walk the walk,” he said at an announcement for new rail investments. “He likes to say America is a failing nation. Frankly, he doesn’t know what the hell he’s talking about.”

In Boston last week, Biden leveled with the audience about the gravity of the situation the country is facing.

“Trump’s not even hiding the ball anymore,” Biden told donors. “He’s telling us what he’s going to do. He’s making no bones about it.”

Jordan Ends Presser As Marge Yells About Sex Trafficking

The most embarrassing Republican press briefing since the last one.

Hunter Biden refused to appear before a closed-door hearing, calling out Republicans on their BS.

And the Republican press briefing that followed showed a desperate Jim Comer surrounded by camera hogs Greene, Nancy Mace, Jim Jordan, and Virginia Foxx.

While Chairman Jordan and Comer were holding court, Marge stood behind them just itching to be heard and get in front of the cameras.

When there was a brief pause as reporters peppered the Republican leaders for having no evidence of wrongdoing by President Biden, Marge jumped in.

"I would've liked to ask Hunter Biden about the MANN act violations! Sex trafficking women across state lines! That would have been a good question! You don't seem to care about that!" Rep. Greene shouted.

Hey Marge. The Mann Act these days is about trafficking UNDERAGE people. No one has charged Hunter Biden with that. You're thinking of your buddy Matt Gaetz. Megyn Kelly And Tucker Carlson: Country Is 'Going To Burn' If Trump Is Jailed

Former Fox hosts Megyn Kelly and Tucker Carlson tried to pretend they're not hoping for any political violence by Trump supporters if he's sent to prison prior to the election, but also did their best to justify it if (heaven forbid) it does happen, and give credence to anyone that believes that poor Trump is being unjustly persecuted by people who hate him.

Both of these propagandists got the boot from Fox, but now Kelly has found a home on SiriusXM radio, and Carlson's out there trying to monetize some streaming service. Carlson made an appearance on Kelly's XM show this Monday, and here's the back and forth with them going after both the judge and the jury in the DC case:

KELLY: This is one of the reasons why I said, if this Judge Chutkan in DC, this federal judge, because we assume Trump is going to get convicted in that, I mean, the smart bet would be this DC jury convicts him because they hate him, politically 92 percent voted for Joe Biden, and she hates him, that if they, if she puts him in jail pending appeal before the election, the country’s gonna burn.

Trump Acts Scared Sh*tless In Response To Jack Smith's SCOTUS Filing

Former President Trump's campaign released a statement on "Deranged Jack Smith's Filing With The Supreme Court," and it's a doozy. Trump doubled down on stupid over Smith's request for the Supreme Court to rule on whether the twice-impeached, numerously charged, 4 times indicted former President has immunity from federal prosecution. The Trump campaign accused Smith of launching a "Hail Mary" to keep Trump from retaking the White House in 2024.

I don't see how Trump will win this. If he does, that opens the floodgates for future Presidents and the current one to stay in power. Or, at least, be able to break laws with impunity. Smith requested an expedited response from the Court to keep the March trial on track.

"Crooked Joe Biden's henchman, Deranged Jack Smith is so obsessed with interfering in the 2024 Presidential Election with the goal of preventing President Trump from retaking the Oval Office, as the President is poised to do, that Smith is willing to try for a Hail Mary by racing to the Supreme Court and attempting to bypass the appellate process," the statement reads.

Jonathan Turley's Latest Crackpot Theory About Jack Smith

Fox News legal analyst Jonathan Turley expressed his dismay over Jack Smith's end run around Trump.

Rather than play whack-a-mole over "Presidential immunity" for the next year, Jack Smith took the issue directly to SCOTUS, asked for a fast-track decision, and is likely to get it. SCOTUS agreed to a hearing and demanded that Trump's lawyers respond to Smith's filing by December 20.

Short-circuiting Trump's delay tactics so fast that it's likely Donald soiled himself. And Turley and other Trump defenders are caught trying to counteract the brilliant maneuver.

Appearing on Fox News' America Reports on Monday, Turley offered up his own version of an Alex Jones conspiracy theory as to why Smith went to the Supreme Court.

"[Smith] is focused entirely on trying Trump [during] this campaign, and trying to convict him before the election," Turley said.

There's nothing absolutely wrong with wanting to try the case as quickly as possible. Not only do defendants have a right to a speedy trial, prosecutors do as well.

Roberts wondered if politics was the only motive for Smith's move.

“There's a tactical reason if Trump wins - he can pardon himself and then Smith will never see a jury in this case," Turley said. "I mean, so if Trump does prevail in the election, if he’s not convicted at that point, he can give himself a pre-emptive pardon. He doesn’t have to wait for the trial.”

Fox Host Moves The Goalposts On Impeaching Biden

During a discussion on the failed attempts of Republicans in the House to find any evidence to impeach President Biden, Fox and Friends co-host Lawrence Jones suddenly revised Article II, Section 4 of the US Consitution to moronically claim a president doesn't have to be convicted of a crime to be impeached.

Longtime F&F host Steve Doocy remarked earlier in the segment that House Republicans don't have the stuff to convict Biden. "They've got a lot of ledgers and spreadsheets," he said. "But they have not connected the dots,” Doocy said.

After dragging Hunter Biden into the conversation, Jones decided to change the US Constitution right in front of our eyes.

"Everyone keeps saying, 'Where are the goods for a law that was breaking,' Jones said. "The bottom line was it was unethical what happened and that's enough for impeachment."

Article II, Section 4 reads: The President, Vice President, and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.

The term 'unethical behavior' is not present in impeachment proceedings because lying liars like Jones and his fellow liars in Congress could use that amorphous phrase to give Donald Trump a "see, Biden was impeached too" talking point.

Trump's New Sir Story: 'Locker Room Talk!'

During a speech on Saturday night at the New York Young Republican Club, Trump claimed a general who must not be named told him the bravest thing he's ever seen in his life was when Trump said his Access Hollywood tape was nothing more than "locker room talk." This was, to this mystery general, braver than anything he's seen on the battlefield.

Just to review, "sir stories" are lies Trump tells when he wants to spin something his way. They generally involve men with tears in their eyes, but sometimes if the person saying "sir" is a very manly man, he leaves the tears off.

"A general, who’s a fantastic general, actually said to me, ‘Sir, I’ve been on the battlefield. Men have gone down on my left and on my right. I stood on hills where soldiers were killed. But I believe the bravest thing I’ve ever seen was the night you went on to that stage with Hillary Clinton, after what happened --and then that woman asked you the first question about it.’", Trump said.

He added, "And I said, locker room talk! It’s locker talk! What the hell?! What are you talking...Locker room talk!'"

Most generals are not that fond of Lumpy. The only one I can think of who is close to Trump and who Trump considers "a fantastic general" is Mike Flynn. I guess the two of them can tell each other "sir stories" in prison when they go there.

Howard Kurtz Tells Journalists Reporting On Trump's Fascism To Quit

Howard Kurtz doesn't understand the role journalism is supposed to play in our democracy, but what else would you expect from someone who works for Fox?

At the end of a lengthy segment on this Sunday's Media Buzz with Fox regulars Clay Travis and Harold Ford Jr. discussing Trump's dictator threat, along with threats to journalists made by people like Steve Bannon and Kash Patel, Kurtz decided to end the segment by chastising journalists for rightfully reporting on the fact that Trump and his allies are fascists.

KURTZ: I just want to say to journalists who say “Well, he is a fascist,” if you think that, then you should quit your journalism job and go campaign against him, rather than using news organizations to allow this campaign, which I think is a lot louder than it's ever been.

It's telling that he believes simply reporting on what Trump and his flunkies say is somehow "campaigning" against him. Someone wake me up when Kurtz and the rest of his network stops "campaigning" against Biden and other Democrats with a daily barrage of lies.

Trump Rates GOP Candidates Debate Performance In Late-Night Post

Former President Donald Trump shared his thoughts on the fourth GOP Presidential debate, ranking them from worst to best on Truth Social in an after-midnight rambling post. It's as juvenile as you would imagine as Trump continued to take a shot at moderator Megyn Kelly. He didn't weigh in on whether she was bleeding out of her whatever or not, though. Wow, political discourse has really gone to the shitter, huh?

Coming in first on the twice-impeached former President's list is hot-tempered entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy because "he thinks I'm great."

"So many people are asking what I thought of history's lowest-rated "presidential" debate, & how would I rate the players," he said in what appears to be a sort of sir story. "It's so easy to be a critic, but who on this subject would be better than me."

'To begin with, I thought Ron DeSanctimonious was terrible, with his bobblehead facial movements & his walking on eggs, but that Sloppy Chris Christie was worse," he continued. "He's not fit, mentally or physically, to be President plus, he suffers from TDS, or Trump Derangement Syndrome, at levels not seen before. In other words, he is a "sick puppy."'

"On top of it all, his poll numbers are just 1%, in a class with "Aida" Hutchinson," he wrote. "He's dead, but so is Ron, whose weird bobbing head and fresh mouth, make his high heels look good - He's walking on eggs!"

Jake Tapper Ridicules, Laughs At James Comer's Absurdities

CNN's Jake Tapper had Representative and conspiracy theorist James Comer on for an interview. It didn't take long for it to go downhill fast.

Tapper asked Comer why he compared Comer to the proverbial dog who caught the bus and asked why in the world he wouldn't take Biden Hunter's offer to testify in a hearing open to the public.

Comer replied, "This isn't about politics" to which Tapper openly laughed at Comer. Comer blamed the media for wanting a big show and that his job was to find the truth. Comer never explained why he couldn't find the truth in public as opposed behind closed door.

Comer then spent some time rehashing the already debunked allegations when Comer hit his second doozy in as many minutes:

JC: We just think this is the tip of the iceberg. We think there are many more crimes. My concern is that Weiss might have indicted him to protect him from being deposed.

JT:: Ah, yes! Yes!! He indicted him to protect him. Yes. It's the classic Rubric. He indicted him to protect him. I got it.

JC: This whole thing is about a cover up.

JT: That's why he indicted him? Was to protect him? To cover it up?

JC: Well, you indict him on the least little things. The gun charge and not paying taxes...

JT: He's facing like 17 additional years in prison.. These are felonies.

It should be noted that not once did Comer offer up any piece of evidence to support his wild accusations and allegations.

Melania's Choice For Husband's VP Will Give You The Sickies

Former President Donald Trump's picks to assign for roles in his second administration are pretty frightening, with loyalty being the top priority. On Wednesday, we discussed Kash Patel, a potential choice to head the CIA if Lumpy gets his grubby hands on the White House keys again. "Yes, we are going to come after the people in the media," Patel said.

Lumpy aside, according to Axios, former First Lady Snuggle Bunny thinks former Fox News star Tucker Carlson would be a great choice as Trump's vice president.

Via Axios:

But here's an interesting twist: Melania Trump is an advocate for picking Tucker Carlson, the booted Fox News star. She thinks Carlson would make a powerful onstage extension of her husband, a source close to Trump told us. The former first lady has made few campaign appearances this time around — but a Trump-Carlson ticket might encourage her to hit the trail.

Trump, asked last month about Carlson as a potential V.P., said: "I like Tucker a lot. ... He's got great common sense."

The idea of Tucker Carlson has been discounted by many people close to Trump because they assume he'd never pick someone who could outshine him. And Trump's staff is convinced (correctly) that Carlson can't be controlled. But the two men talk a lot.

Kevin McCarthy Lied About Quitting, Too

We all knew that Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) was on his way out, especially after becoming the first Speaker in history to be ousted from the role. So, he dramatically announced his departure, saying he would exit the House at the end of the year.

Goodbye to the man who, for one second in his miserable life, called out President Circus Peanut for his role in inciting the Jan. 6th attack on our Capitol, then did an epic takesie backsies while awkwardly performing fellatio on the disgraced one-term president to get back in his good graces before he told MAGA on him. It's a bipartisan thing: MAGA hates him, and Democrats fantasize about him sliding down a 50-foot razor into a pile of salt.

But he's still Marge's Snuggle Bunny—# Winning. Yup, the failed author and member of the chaos crew isn't taking this very well. She wrote that she hopes that "no one dies."

Trump Blames A.I. For Making Him Look 'Feeble' In Ad

Trump promoted an ad from The Lincoln Project last night on his Truth Social megaphone. He probably wouldn't have seen it but they ran it on Fox News, probably for that exact purpose, so they're probably giddy about his response. The ad itself is a typical one for them, not really designed to move the needle so much among voters as raise contributions for them. So, Trump is happy as he got to rage about something last night and The Lincoln Project are happy as more money flowed in as soon as he did.

Source: Forbes

Donald Trump attacked the Lincoln Project on Monday night with claims the anti-Trump political advocacy group is using artificial intelligence to make the former president look bad. The only problem? There’s no evidence the Lincoln Project’s ad uses anything but authentic footage of Trump.

“The perverts and losers at the failed and once disbanded Lincoln Project, and others, are using A.I.(Artificial Intelligence) in their Fake television commercials in order to make me look as bad and pathetic as Crooked Joe Biden, not an easy thing to do,” Trump wrote on his social network Truth Social late Monday.

Russian Pawn Rudy Whines About Being Called A 'Russian Pawn'

Rudy Giuliani expressed fear on Sunday that he could go to prison for the rest of his life after Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) suggested that data from Hunter Biden's laptop had been "manipulated" by the former New York mayor.

On his Sunday radio program, Giuliani said he deserved praise for exposing the contents of a laptop belonging to President Joe Biden's son, Hunter.

"Do you think I'm entitled to some credit for being the one who brought out Biden for the first time?" Giuliani asked longtime girlfriend and co-host Maria Ryan.

"You deserve a lot of credit," Ryan agreed.

"They don't," Giuliani complained. "They think I deserve to go to prison for the rest of my life for doing it."

"That's why they went after you, Rudy, because you had information, and you were highly credible," Ryan insisted. "They had to discredit you, so they made up stories about you."

Giuliani argued that he had been "vindicated" even though a lawsuit from Hunter Biden accused him of hacking and manipulating the laptop's contents.

"I was accused by Biden during the last debate, presidential debate, by name, of being a Russian pawn," he complained. "It is proven that I'm not."

"And then this liar, the newest big liar in the Democratic Party, Dan Goldman from New York, a little rich boy, comes out and calls me a Russian pawn again," he added.

Maria Bartiromo Worries George Santos' Ouster Will Ruin Impeachment

Rep. James Comer (R-KY) worried on Sunday that one or two moderate Republicans could derail his entire effort to impeach President Joe Biden.

During an interview on Fox News, host Maria Bartiromo asked Comer if Republicans could pass an authorization for an impeachment inquiry after losing former Rep. George Santos (R-NY).

"Do you feel that you have the votes within the House right now to get a formal impeachment inquiry?" she wondered.

"I do," he replied. "A great thing happened during Thanksgiving. The members went home, many of them for the first time, and circulated for the first time in over ten weeks. And they met people in Walmart and people on Main Street."

Comer suggested Republicans were more ready than ever to impeach Biden.

"So I'm confident we're going to have the votes to move forward with this impeachment inquiry," he said.

"And you've got to have a near majority," Bartiromo noted. "The majority is so slim, even less now with George Santos being expelled this week, right?"

"Yeah, it's tough," Comer agreed. "I think we could lose one or two members. I mean, Ken Buck, he votes no on everything. He's certainly doing everything he can to try out to be the next anchor for MSNBC."

"At the end of the day, I think our members realize that this is of the utmost importance," he insisted.

Wisconsin Unions File Lawsuit To End Scott Walker's Folly

Seven Wisconsin unions have joined forces and filed a lawsuit seeking to be made whole by ending the failed right wing experiment of Act 10, Scott Walker's legacy of attacking public sector workers by forbidding their collective bargaining rights::

The lawsuit, filed by the teachers and other public workers on Thursday, alleges that the law's exemption of some police, firefighters and other public safety workers from the bargaining restrictions violates the Wisconsin Constitution’s equal protection guarantee. The complaint notes that those exempted from the restrictions endorsed Walker in the 2010 gubernatorial election, while those subject to the restrictions did not.

Plaintiffs include the Abbotsford Education Association, AFSCME Local 47, AFSCME Local 1215, Beaver Dam Education Association, SEIU Wisconsin, Teaching Assistants Association Local 3220 and Teamsters Local 695.

The groups said they are filing the lawsuit now because of the "dire situation that exists in our workplaces."

Bad Day For Trump, Ex-POTUS Can Be Sued For Capitol Attack

A three-judge panel on Friday delivered some bad news for Donald Trump, saying that he isn't immune from lawsuits over the Jan. 6 Capitol attack just because he was President at the time. This ruling comes as the twice-impeached former President faces three lawsuits from House lawmakers and Capitol police officers who are accusing him of inciting the attack. Oops!

USA Today reports:

"President Trump moved in the district court to dismiss the claims against him, including on grounds of a President's official-act immunity from damages liability," Chief Judge Sri Srinivasan wrote. "We answer no, at least at this stage of the proceedings."

Srinivasan and Judges George Katsas and Judith Rogers heard the case. Srinivasan was appointed to the appeals court by Barack Obama, Katsas by Trump and Rogers by Bill Clinton.

The three lawsuits each accuse Trump of inciting the riot and seek to hold him responsible for it. Nearly 1,000 people have been charged in the attack after a mob rampaged through the Capitol and temporarily prevented Congress from counting the Electoral College votes that formalized Joe Biden's 2020 victory over Trump. One rioter was shot to death outside the House chamber by a police officer. A police officer who was sprayed by chemicals during the attack died the next day from a stroke.
