Tucker Carlson is just WAY too excited about hiring armed randos to do border patrol in Texas. Here's the transcript from last night's Tucker Tonight (emphasis mine), with Texas Governor Gregg Abbott not quite sure what to say:
TUCKER CARLSON (HOST): You're the governor! Why don't you just say, any person with military and law enforcement experience can join up? We're starting our own force. It's volunteer. Or just go to Midland, Dallas, and Houston and get donors to fund it! They would. I'd send you money, everyone would send you money and we're going to stop this on behalf of the state of Texas and the United States. You could do that. The Biden people would back down in the face of that determination. Why not?
Abbott tries to point out that there is both a hiring and a training process that border agents go through, and that the State of Texas is continually recruiting people....no wait.
ISN'T THIS A HAIR-ON-FIRE SITUATION, MORE IMPORTANT THAN AFGHANISTAN, GOVERNOR?!?!
Greg Abbott is soft on immigration? Because Tucker is rock-hard at this point!
